Based in London, Simon Brown is an experienced interior, still life and people photographer with an international reputation. His work is both artistic and journalistic, portraying the beauty of the home in all its diversity, which he often romanticises and bathes in atmospheric daylight. The use of north light, favoured by painters, is a particular influence in his photography.
In a career dating back more than thirty years, Simon’s photographs have been published in books and magazines worldwide, while his personal work is available through specialist galleries.
Largely self-taught, he attended The Medway College of Design, before starting his career in 1983 at a photographic studio in Chelsea, London. Today, Simon’s work is published in The World of Interiors, House & Garden, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair and Vogue, while a growing portfolio of commercial clients include Kit Kemp and Firmdale Hotels, Lucky Onion Group, Soho House, The Ned, University Arms Hotel, Colefax & Fowler, de Gournay, Beata Heuman and many more.
